Thematic AreasOverview C-SAP supports learning and teaching within the areas of Sociology, Anthropology, Politics, and Criminology. In practice, this work is focused around thematic areas which are interdisciplinary. The thematic pages provide a summary of C-SAP's activities within the disciplines, with links to project findings, publications, and other resources. The range of thematic areas which C-SAP supports is broad, and reflective of the strategic aims of the Higher Education Academy. In addition to supporting these themes through wholly funded projects and activities, we also partiocipate in collaboration with other subject networks within the Higher Education Academy, and other external agencis and networks.

Teaching, some very short introductionsWe also collated and produced a series of short guides as an introduction to teaching for new staff. We would like to update these soon, but hope that they still offer some general guidance of interest to new teaching staff in the social sciences. These resources were originally written and compiled by David Mills and Denise Carter, and can be found in our thematic areas pages or through the direct links below. |
