This one-day workshop is offered by Swansea Metropolitan University and the Teaching International Students (TIS) project.

The workshop is aimed at practitioners who work with international students on a day-to-day basis - whether in the classroom or in support of the students' studies. The event is offered as a practical workshop where delegates will have the opportunity to work with the resources being created as part of the TIS project and to hear individual papers from local colleagues.

Themes for the day include (subject to change):

  • Issues of plagiarism and international students
  • The experiences of Swansea Business School (SMU) over 5 years of teaching international undergraduate students
  • Strategies for feedback and assessment of international students
  • Managing  international student expectations

The Provisional Programme can be found at http://sites.google.com/site/improvinglearningforall/home/provisional-programme

There is no charge for the event, but you will need to fund your own travel expenses. A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.

We hope that the workshop will appeal to practitioners looking for support in this area.
