Original Event Description

Over the past few months C-SAP has been surveying a range of social science staff on their use of e-learning, through an online survey and follow up telephone interviews. As a final part of the study we are holding a focus group, open to anyone involved with supporting teaching and learning in the social sciences.

The aim of this group will be to draw together some of the issues which have emerged from the study so far, and give people the opportunity to share their experiences in developing and using technology to support learning. We see the outcomes of this scoping exercise as providing an illustrative account of "where we are" in terms of our understanding and application of technology to support learning, as well as helping to inform the future support offered by C-SAP for e-learning activity.

Briefly, the programme for the day will be start at 12:30 with lunch, followed by the focus group from 1:15 to 3:15.
